Dr. Fazio is an Associate Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School and an Associate in Medicine at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC). She received her MD degree from Brown University School of Medicine. Following her residency in the Internal Medicine Program at the BIDMC, Dr. Fazio served as chief resident before joining the faculty of the Division of General Medicine. Subsequently, she completed advanced fellowship training in medical education as a Rabkin Fellow in Medical Education.

Dr. Fazio has focused her professional efforts on training, advising and mentoring students in internal medicine at the BIDMC. She has also played key leadership roles in the development of medical education and curriculum on the local, regional and national level. Dr. Fazio serves as the Director of the Medicine Clerkship Committee at HMS and the clerkship director for the Core Medicine I rotation as well as the Primary Care Clerkship at BIDMC.

The combination of Dr. Fazio’s curricular involvement in medical education, experience and dedication to advising and mentoring students and her enthusiasm and passion for teaching is a true asset to the already committed team of leaders in the Holmes Society.
